Stanford needs to divest before the international climate negotiations in Paris this November, when our voice could have the maximal impact. But the Board of Trustees is not taking action to divest from oil and gas, despite strong calls from the Stanford community. To convince them of the gravity and urgency of the issue, students are pledging civil disobedience to encourage our Board to act NOW, and divest from fossil fuels.
