Faculty & Staff

You are our teachers, mentors, and advisers. We appreciate your guidance and expressions of support as this movement coalesces and grows! Here's how you can help:

Sign the Faculty Letter

455 Stanford faculty have co-signed a letter calling on President John Hennessy and the Stanford Board of Trustees to divest from fossil fuels. The letter was published in The Guardian in January 2015, and received national media attention.

If you are a Stanford faculty member, we would love for you to join your colleagues and co-sign the letter!
"When it comes to the future our students will live to see, there is a scientifically documented, morally clear, technologically innovative right thing to do: divest from fossil fuels and reinvest in a sustainable future."

Write a specialized "Statement of Support"

Each member of the Stanford faculty or staff has an expertise relevant to the fight against climate change and the campaign for fossil fuel divestment. If you are interested in contributing a statement of support (separate from the letter above) reflecting your particular thoughts or knowledge, e-mail faculty liaison Josh Lappen at [email protected]. We greatly appreciate your expression of support!
